"You Never Forget Your First" Lilly Pulitzer

Hey y'all!  Lilly Pulitzer is doing an adorable "You Never Forget Your First" campaign, and I've absolutely loved reading about everyone's first Lilly purchases.  So much, in fact, that I've decided to write a little about my own.

My first Lilly purchase was a pair of croakies (sunglasses straps).  If only I knew what I was getting myself into.  I bought them in the print Chiquita Bonita with "Follow the Sun" on the back at a local boutique over the summer.  I always admired Lilly on Pinterest and absolutely loved the bright, summery vibes it sent out.

My love for Lilly escalated from there.  I started to live by the phrase "It's always summer somewhere" and found myself smiling with the thought "Everything's possible with sunshine and a little pink."  Later that summer, I bought my first Lilly agenda for the upcoming school year.  I was amazed at how motivated I was to stay organized and reveled in my ability to plan out even the most difficult tasks.  I recorded even the most negligible events, just because I loved adding corresponding stickers to the calendar.  I even created a color coding system with my Lilly highlighters that I still use to help me stay on track to date.

Aside from my obsession with my agenda (a little overboard, I know), I started obsessing over the Lilly prints.  Not only were they adorable, but they put me in a sunny state of mind.  I loved seeing the bright colors and cute patterns, and they started popping up more and more frequently in my life.  I remember being so proud of my Lilly binder covers and getting as creative as I could with the prints.  I made stationary, return address labels, and even note taking printables.  Through my blog, I have been able to share these concepts with other people, which has been very rewarding.

From my Lilly tote to my Lilly lunchbox, to my Lilly notebook to my Lilly coffee cup and tumbler, Lilly has brightened up my life in so many ways.  It may have all started with a juice stand in Palm Beach, but for me, it all started with a pair of croakies!
