Thursday

This week has actually been going surprisingly well.  Since I've updated last, I'm proud to share that I've completely finished all my make up work.  It's take some long days and late nights, but I couldn't be happier to have it off my back.  Tomorrow's Friday, and I'm ready to kick back without having to worry about due dates and deadlines.

There's nothing like that 3:15 feeling on a Friday afternoon.  After a long week of getting ready for exams and catching up on assignments, getting out for the weekend is one of the best feelings in the world.  Stepping outside and feeling the crisp winter air, making plans as you pass friends in the hall, and feeling carefree.  Riding home with the windows down, putting your book bag away until Sunday night, changing into Norts and a t-shirt, and letting go of all the stresses of school.  There's nothing better than knowing you're able to wake up Saturday morning without having to worry about a test that afternoon or dealing with the people you're just not in the mood to deal with.

Every weekend has a story.  Some are lazy, spent at home with family, some are crazy, spent doing ridiculous things with friends, and some are productive, using the extra time to get ahead on work for the week.  Some are adventurous, spent exploring new places, and some are busy, spent shopping or running around town.  Either way, a weekend is a weekend.  When you're fifteen, there's nothing better than time off school, no matter how it's spent.  Whether you are only home for an hour between two days or you spend the majority of the time on the couch, freeing yourself of education and teachers for a forty-eight hour period is priceless.

When Saturday's done and Sunday morning rolls around, getting out of bed sometimes seems impossible.  But being lazy just isn't an option.  In only twenty four short hours, Monday will roll around again.  There's so much to be done before it's time to get in the academic mindset again, and laying in bed is getting nothing accomplished.  Before you know it, it will be 7:00 at night and the pile of procrastinated homework will become unavoidable.  By ten, you're exhausted.  The fun's over, and school is less than twelve hours away.

The weekend always flies by.  There's no denying the fact that the best two days of the week always go the quickest.  That being said, the weekend is a time to be cherished.  Don't waste it stressing over something that happened in school that week or someone who isn't worth the trouble.  Live free, have fun, and let go.  Because before you know it, Monday morning will be back.  This weekend, let's have the time of our lives.

In order to do that, however, I still have one more day of school to get through.  Six o'clock tomorrow morning is going to come too soon, and I'm beginning to wonder if staying up half the night is really worth going to school with all my homework completed.  Sleep is vital to a healthy lifestyle, and I haven't had a good night's worth all week.  The only thing standing between me and the weekend is an eight hour school day, and I'm ready to knock it out
