If you're like me, your family isn't planning a big vacation or a trip to the beach this spring break. All your friends seem to have something fun or eventful planned, but you're staying home this year. While it may seem as if you're in for a terrible week, there are still plenty of fun, simple things you can do to make the most of your spring break, even if it is spent in your hometown!
Okay, so here's my master list. The ones that aren't self explanatory are linked to a website that will give you exactly what you need to know! Enjoy!
- Take some time to roll the windows down, turn the radio up, and cruise.
- Go get a slushie, or make your own!
- Wear a cute pair of sunglasses, just because
- Put together a cute, bright colored outfit and have a photo shoot
- Paint your toenails a bright, springy color
- Make your own fruit popsicles
- Get frozen yogurt (and go a little overboard on the toppings)
- Make a cute towel for summer
- Write a summer bucket list
- Make tropical beverages (nonalcoholic of course)
- Decorate cute, reusable Easter eggs
- Paint a canvas with bright colored paint
- Make a healthy spring snack
- Go spring shopping
- Make turquoise lemonade
- Pick out this summer's swimsuit
- Make watermelon sorbet
- Clean out your closet (get rid of the dark winter clothes and put away the boots to make room for new spring additions)
- Make your own flip flops (get a cheap pair and add a bow or accent! Ideas are all over Pinterest)
- Make cute, no damage hair ties or headbands in springy colors
This is just the beginning of the list, and I plan to add new ideas as I think of them. Just because you're not doing anything elaborate doesn't mean you have to have a boring break. This is your week, so have fun!
