Summer Starbucks Essentials

Hey y'all!  Summer vacation has finally arrived, and so has warm weather.  We've had little tastes of it all spring, but this time, I'm think it's safe to assume it's here to stay.  While I love a good Skinny Vanilla Latte, warm coffee beverages just aren't suitable for ninety degree days.  No worries though, there's still plenty of delicious drinks on the Starbucks menu for the South Carolina summer.  Here are some of my favorites.

Refreshers
Refreshers are my favorite.  Cool Lime, Valencia Orange, and Berry Hibiscus are all delicious and, well... refreshing.  Valencia Orange is undeniably my flavor of choice {I'm drinking a one as I write}!  It's a guilt free indulgence, because even a trenta is under 200 calories.

Smoothies
Starbucks smoothies are my go-to beverage for active days.  They are made with a whey protein and include a full 16 grams, so they keep me full when I'm on the go.  The strawberry smoothie is my favorite, but chocolate is also delicious.  I haven't had the orange mango one yet, but I'm sure it's just as yummy.

Frappuccinos
As much as I'd love to say that I always stick to healthy smoothies and light refreshers, the chocolate & coffee lover in me comes out occasionally.  Whenever I get a frappuccino of any kind, I always get skinny, which is 1/3 fewer calories.  I go without the cream on top and have it made with nonfat milk.  It's still not exceptionally healthy, but it makes me feel a little better about splurging.  My favorite is the Mocha Cookie Crumble, which just recently came back.  It's so, so good.

What are some of your favorite summer beverages at Starbucks?  Let me know!

  1. I love the mocha cookie crumble! Its so good! And I have always been too scared to try the refreshers because I have this fear of trying something and not liking it even though I spent money on it. hahaha

    Love Always,

  3. I rarely get iced coffee, but when I do, I love the Starbucks Skinny Hazelnut Latte. I usually try to avoid Frappuccinos because they're far from the healthiest choice, but I didn't know you could customize it that way to make it a bit better for you. I will definitely try that the next time I splurge on a Starbucks beverage!
